Introducing:
The name Nagini comes from a mythical half woman/half snake in Hindu mythology. These feared and revered creatures are protective entities often watching over rivers and valleys, and this spirit of natural connection and reverence is at the root of this fragrance project.
Nagini is an independent fragrance project started in 2025 by Ciara Havishya after several years of study and practice. Nagini fragrances are all made of natural materials including essential oils, absolutes, CO2 extractions and natural isolates. Some perfumes may include non-vegan ingredients, check the notes carefully before selecting.
The reason Nagini focuses on natural materials, including animal components is because Ciara became fascinated with the potential of perfume to act as an encapsulated ecosystem as we navigate the anthropocene. A perfume bottle has the potential to contain culture, history, and an entire biome that sits preserved at our . There may come a time where the only remnants of various species of plants and animals exists in preserved bottles of fragrance. May that day never come, but in the meantime, may this meditation on temporality accompany your experience with Nagini.
Natural materials are not better for the environment, they are not less allergenic, and they are dramatically more expensive than synthetics and we won’t pretend to be anything to the contrary. We hope you find the honesty refreshing, and that you’ll keep in mind that natural perfumes may not project as far or last as long as their synthetic counterparts, but they do have their own beauty and nuance.
